Gould



Gould，全名為John Gould！生於1804年，死於1881年。他是一位知名的動物學家，他於1804年9月14日出生在英國的Lyme Regis，Dorset。可能是因為薰陶於他花匠為業的父親一些輕微的教育，因而變得對植物和鳥產生興趣。在1823年，他在倫敦的Zoological Society of London任職，擔任一名標本製作，後來漸漸展露頭角。1829年，他與同齡的Elizabeth Coxen結婚。
